This is my 101k challenge blog. The challenge is to deposit $1,000.00 onto a poker site, and play No Limit Holdem within the provided rules until I have made $100,000.00 profit. I will be updating my progress daily.

hey have you just been on a good streak since you started the challenge, or do you usually win this often? It seems like you are winnig 80 percent of the days played so far...
Hey Hey
I'm definitely rooting you on and its really inspirational to see you moving up at your rate.
I just want to check, how many tables are you playing? and do you have any tips for keeping up with that many? I've mainly been playing 2 tables, I think I can do 4, but more seems a bit hectic.

I'm doing well for several reasons. And believe it or not, solid play is not at the top of the list. The biggest reason I am having lots of success in short amounts of time is that I get a huge amount of hands in per day, which greatly decreases the variance. So while I am winning 90% of the days I play, I am only winning about 60% of the tables that I play. But because I often 8-table for 4+ hours, I will have played on 20 or so tables in that time. I win on 12 of them and lose on 8. Solid play helps me maximize my winnings on the first 12, and limit my losses on the other 8. Basically I am getting a months worth of variance over with in a day (many people don't play over 2000 hands a month).

Thanks for checking out the blog, I'm glad you like it. Keep rooting for me, I'll need it more as I move up.
I often play 6-8 tables. I always try to get 8 tables, but sometimes it takes a while to get tables going, so there are times when I am at less tables for that reason. Best tips for keeping up with that many tables is to SLOWLY add more tables. Start with 2, then add 1 table for whatever amount of time you want - you can make that 1 week, or 5000 hands, or just until you feel comfortable and confident playing the extra table. Then slowly continue to add more, one at a time.
Another huge help is that I have two 20" monitors which allows me to fit 8 tables with no overlap. That is huge - makes it so much easier to keep track of my tables. I also use all the programs like PokerTracker and PokerAce Heads Up Display. These programs keep stats and overlay select stats onto the table you are playing to tell you about your opponents. If you don't have these, look them up and get them.
Lastly, try to play more ABC of a game. Don't make too many moves/bluffs, and fold marginal hands when you are raised, etc. This will keep you from going crazy trying to "read" people when you just need to be playing ABC Tight-Aggressive poker.
Hope all this rambling helps. Best of luck.
